Have you ever thought about what happens to all of our Christmas trees after the holidays are over? They go into landfill. What a waste! There is always the option of a fake tree, but those can contain lead and other chemicals which is never good when you have children or pets. Besides, they don't have that amazing Christmas smell. However, you are in luck.
We have a solution for you! Buy a living tree . Visit your nearest nursery or garden center to find out what kind of trees they have. You may have to do this a few weeks before the holidays, but find out as soon as possible what your options are. Then when the holidays are over, plant the tree in your yard or donate it to an organzation like Friends of the Urban Forest or another Plant a Tree group. Now, you won't have to feel guilty about killing a tree, you can plant one instead!
