Safety Tip of the Day: Have a Current Photo of Your Child |

|
Did you know that if your child goes missing, you can increase the chances of finding them by having one very important thing on hand at all times? What is it?
Anyone caring for a child should carry a current photograph (taken within the past 6 months) with the child's name, height and weight written on the back. All parents, babysitters, grandparents, teachers or other caregivers should have this photograph along with an emergency consent form and emergency contact information with them at ALL times.
If a child is lost, police and child advocates can have the photograph scanned and distributed across the country within a matter of minutes, but only if you have the photograph handy. Every minute after a child goes missing is a moment that cannot afford to be spent looking for a current photo. Make sure you are prepared!
Take this opportunity to assemble a packet for your child's caregivers with the photograph (name, height and weight), consent form and contact information today! **If you want to be super hi-tech, you can even load this information onto a flash drive key chain and give to all caregivers!
