Yet Another Recall- Aqua Dots PDF Print E-mail

These days it seems like there is a new massive toy recall every week.  This time, Spin Master was forced to recall Aqua Dots due to children vomiting, going unconscious, having seizures and becoming comatose after swallowing the beads (which is a very common thing for kids to do).  There are 4.2 million units being recalled and the CPSC (Consumer Products Safety Commission ) requests that parents simply discard the units.  Aqua dots are craft beads that kids can make designs with and when sprayed with water, they stick together.

Oh well, too bad my kids will never know how much fun these little treasures are!  It is just my opinion, but having a 2 year old in the house, beads are not something my girls play with at home.  I remember my sister and I sticking glow in the dark beads up our noses and not being able to get them out for 3 days.  Thinking back on this now, I wonder how our mom didn't know and if she did, why she didn't do anything about it!  No beads until they are 18!  Wink
