The LAST day!!! I cannot tell you how badly I have wanted to eat something really bad for me today! Chocolate, cheese, cupcakes, chips, anything! The weird thing is, I have this weird snobbery thing going on with food and it feels like nothing is worthy of my breaking this spell for it after what I went through yesterday with the juice! I opened the candy (baking) cabinet, the old Brach's pumpkins (there are 2 left in the bag) weren't gonna cut it because they have been in there for a few weeks and they aren't really that good anyway, just a blast of sugar. The semi- sweet chocolate chips are good, not great, but they were unopened and I didn't want to leave a trail of cheating (although I am writing about it, so there is a flaw in that philosophy). The refrigerator has nothing really spectacularly sinful in it. The freezer has yummy Ciao Bella Vanilla gelato, but it is too cold for ice cream. So, I guess I am still guilty for thinking about it, huh? Big Boxers This morning, I got my little shrinking bottom out of bed and went to work out, knowing it was the last day this week that I would have to do it! We walked from the St. Francis Yacht Club, over to the Palace of Fine Arts and worked on our boxing moves. Hooks, jabs and upper cuts were flying everywhere. We also did circular kicks into the glove and sideways kicks. It was a very empowering lesson in self defense as Terese described how to use every muscle in our bodies instead of just our arms, so that we could knock the daylights out of any bad guy that comes our way. We ended with stretches and then got our food. Breakfast (after the daily fiber shake) was 2 persimmons. I cut those bad boys up and ate them very quickly. I don't think I have never eaten a persimmon, but they were good. 11 am was lunchtime because I was starving and that was hummus with carrots, celery, asparagus, broccoli, a red cabbage leaf, sprouts (of course) and corn. The corn is still in the box, but everything else is gone and I am H-U-N-G-R-Y and tired! So that's about it. We have raw vegetable lasagna tonight that Terese makes and we are going to have a speaker. Tomorrow morning, we go for a hike and that's the end of it. I am feeling quite Rock Solid and would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to cleanse their body of toxins and get healthy! Terese is great. she is like our little group mommy and we all email each other for support. It is a nice thing to do for yourself- mind, body and spirit.
