 Gifts for Moms

Moms are really pretty easy to shop for.  Most of us like to be pampered and made pretty.  And I cannot think of a better way to make a woman feel pretty than with a gift certificate for a massage or facial?  Oh actually, a day at the spa would probably be even better ;)

Another great gift idea for mom is a yummy robe or blanket or a pair of slippers.  Other safe ideas... cookbooks , photo albums , picture frames, personalized stationary , or a classic novel .  Want to make mommy feel like a real superstar?  Get her a day with the trainer at the gym!   Does mom like to golf or play an instrament?  How about a lesson with a pro or a few weeks of lessons?  Dad, are you feeling romantic?  How about salsa dancing lessons ?  A weekend getaway ?  Again, anything that makes a woman feel pampered, extravagant or really beautiful and sexy will be a winner (if not, it will certainly be good for a laugh!)

Gifts for Dads

Dads, in my opinion are the hardest to buy for.  But, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve!  Are you ready?  Of course, you can do the same for dad as I suggested for mom, lesson with a pro (golf or tennis), massage, trainer, music lessons, dance lessons, but I have a better idea!  How about a family day in honor of dad!  On Dad Day, dad doesn't have to do a thing, but the kids can clean up the garage, backyard and house, stain the deck, or do other chores, while dad relaxes in style.  Does this sound a little far fetched?  How about a BMW race car ride or a day on a sailboat?  Need more ideas?  You can always use the regular holiday staples, a nice shirt , a grooming accessories , an iPod with an iTunes giftcard ...  these are always safe and nice to receive.

The important thing about giving holiday gifts is that you give a gift that sends the message that you care about the person you are giving it to.  If your budget doesn't allow for much, handmade gifts can be more thoughtful and special than anything you can buy.  Just have fun, be creative and enjoy the process.  The holidays come around every year and it feels good to make people feel loved!  Ho ho ho!
